Thomas Fuhrmann

Managing Director

We, TÜV Rheinland Group, are a leading provider of technical services worldwide. Founded in 1872 and headquartered in Cologne, we employ more than 19,630 people, in 500 locations, in 69 countries. The Group’s mission and guiding principle is to achieve sustained development of safety and quality, in order to meet the challenges arising from the interactions between man, technology and the environment.

ur main business activities include testing, inspection, certification and training services to the industry, in the field of Industrial Services, Mobility, Products, Softlines, Academy & Life Care, and Systems. Being a global company, we believe in connecting our global knowledge to education and skill development.

In the last 25 years, the Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC), has effectively inculcated and applied the world renowned Dual Education System into the Indian academic system. The IGTC thought process is in sync with our belief, and we appreciate the enormous and consistent efforts of IGTC, for creating a win-win situation for both, industry and the students. We have always nurtured and supported talents from IGTC. We have been associated with them for more than eight years now. We feel privileged to partner with IGTC, as we believe in the concept of institutions providing the theoretical intelligence, with practical training being imparted by us.

We, at TÜV Rheinland, thrive to prepare our interns for the sheer competitive environment that they need to work in, and to mould them into distinct personalities in the corporate fraternity. They get to explore their capabilities as they work on live projects, in between different business streams and central units, as well as interact with the top management. They get exposed to diverse business environments and real life scenarios, so as to learn how to adapt to multifarious situations and be flexible. A transparent feedback system ensures that they are polished and prepared to handle the challenges of the corporate world, in a global and regional environment, where you need to be the best fit for an entire team.

We believe that theoretical and practical training are like two sides of the same coin, where both are imperative for a management graduate. We feel that students should be trained practically, rather than theoretically. The Government of India has a target of training over 400 million skilled people by 2022, and we will be a staunch partner to the Government in achieving this target.
