Knorr-Bremse Technology Center India (KB-TCI) was founded in 2013, to leverage Indian talent, diversity and engineering skills. From a humble beginning of around 50 engineers then, KB-TCI has grown to nearly 400 engineers, offering more than support services. Some of the products and services offered to Knorr-Bremse group customers are entirely carried out from our location at Pune.
Due to increased responsibility placed on KB-TCI, the company decided to enhance and broaden the skills of its employees, not only in engineering but also in related business domains. I am proud to state that we found an able partner in Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC), to offer appropriate courses for this developmental journey. We had an overwhelming response from our employees who were too eager to forego their weekends! I have seen them enjoy the course and its curriculum, and start to think ‘out of the box.’ They are slowly moving from being technical managers to being business and techno-commercial managers. I see the transformation from ’Yes, I will do’ to ‘Why not this too?’ Kudos to IGTC and its staff, for providing us with this breath of fresh air.
