What People Are Saying

Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. Andreas Lauermann

President & Managing Director

Volkswagen India has been associated with the Indo -German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) and the Indo -German Training Centre (IGTC) for developing our existing managerial talent since 2010. Called the Executive Business Management Programme (EBMP), the course is designed to include theoretical sessions of various subjects, assignments and an end-of-course project which is aimed at making a direct and serious impact on the profitability and growth of the organization.

Since 2010 more than 25 employees have undergone this training and have contributed towards the growth of the organization. Mr. Amit Rane, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, underwent the EBMP course between June 2010 and May 2011. The training has given him enormous amount of skills and knowledge of various disciplines and has helped him implement his learnings and knowledge in real time projects and grow in the organization to management level. He is now heading the Engine Quality department.

We are glad that IGTC has brought this course to Pune in 2015. This has helped in nominating high potential employees in good numbers for participating in this programme. It is noteworthy that IGTC has some of the most senior, experienced and renowned faculties for every topic that is dealt with in the course and this is what makes the course really effective.

IGTC’s Indo-German quarterly HR Partner Forum also plays a dynamic role by providing a platform for networking with various industries. The information sharing, the benchmarking of the best practices, the discussions of the HR & IR issues have truly helped towards the betterment of the industrial scenario.

IGCC helped the Volkswagen Academy at the Pune Plant to implement India’s first German Dual Training System in the trade of Mechatronics through the collaboration with DIHK Germany in 2011. One of the highest points of success of this program could be the one where the apprentices graduated from this course, represented India in the World Skill completion held in Brazil last year.
